The bar food is not just hearty. It's delicious; there are plenty of plasma TV's for important games of football; the staff are friendly and some have fetching accents; the lighting is dim and romantic, even in the beer garden which is heated and dotted with chest-high wine barrels to lean on. And the people give good "chat" as the Irish themselves are wont to say.
