I am experienced in working with depression, anxiety (including panic attacks), stress, relationship problems, sexuality & sexual identity concerns (being gay, coming out etc), body image, transition & adjustment, mid life crisis, gambling, trauma & childhood sexual abuse and addiction (drugs/ alcohol/ sex) & dependancy issues.
I specialise in helping people find ways forward. Together we can talk about what is important to you.
We are experts in our own lives. Therapeutic conversations allow us to redefine who we are and enjoy new or forgotten aspects of our lives.
My hopes for our time together are that we will explore these possibilities to enable you to go forward.
Your confidentiality and privacy are important to me. I offer affordable counselling and am a registered Medicare provider. if your GP refers you to me you may be able to claim back most of the cost from Medicare for up to 12 sessions per calendar year. Contact me for more details.
As a degree qualified and accredited mental health social worker I am professionally registered with and accountable to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). My counselling training started in 1990 and my experience includes many years of counselling people while employed in organisations such as ACON and G-Line and other health and welfare services both in Australia and overseas.
