Common Questions

What is your approach to treatment?

We view the person as whole, and use hands on treatment to aid the person’s function and help a person return to a state of balance.
Our purpose is to help the body to express optimal health by restoring movement, balance and allowing full expression of the life force by removing interference to the nervous system.
The power that created the body (Inate Intelligence) will heal the body as long as there is no interference in the nervous sytem to allow that healing to happen. Our treatment activates healing mechanisms for better health and well being. We do not focus solely on alleviating symptoms, but allways seek to find and treat the cause.

What conditions do you treat?

We have a huge amount of experience in back pain, headaches, sporting and overuse injuries.
However, our scope of practice is not limited to these.
We treat patients suffering from a range of problems with positive clinical results. These have included but are not limited to: migraines, shoulder, elbow and wrist pain, sinus troubles, period pain, fertility issues, digestive disturbances, chronic fatigue, dizziness, asthma, and difficulties following a wide range of personal injuries.
We also treating babies suffering from birth trauma, colic, reflux, recurrent ear infections and who have difficulty thriving; and children, who suffer from poor health or learning difficulties.
You don’t need to be in pain to see us many people choose to have regular maintenance treatment for optimal health and performance on all levels.

What can I expect at my first visit?

Your initial visit will be a longer visit and our practitioners will take a detailed case history that provides them with useful information regarding
your general well being and assists them in making a diagnosis. Following this, we will perform examination specific diagnostic tests. This may involve electromyography, gait and posture and weight bearing computerised analysis and X-Rays ordered if appropriate. We perform Neurological tests to assess the health of your nervous system, alignment and index of health. A treatment action plan will be outlined if you are eligible for our treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Every person’s needs are different. Some people require only 1or 2 treatments to feel relief and restore health whilst others may need regular treatments over the course of a few months to correct a problem that may have taken years (or decades) to gradually develop .
If, after examination and diagnosis we feel that our treatment is unlikely to be of benefit we may refer you or discuss alternative options you may have.

What can I expect after a treatment?

Most people experience increased mobility and reduction in pain, some report feeing taller and straighter. Some tenderness may be felt in the symptomatic area or move somewhere else and is evidence of the body adapting to the changes that we are making it. If you have any concerns at any stage whatsoever of your treatment we are always available at any time to offer explanation, support and advice.
